I remeber watching a little feature on Petr Sykora that was shown on Fox Sports before a ducks game. It was showing how he prepared for a game, and it included taking a torch to his synergy and putting a wicked toe curve on the blade. I was surprised that he bent the blade as far as he did without breaking it.

heh, i think kelly askew (the guy in the first fight there) worked at hockey monkey and used to play for the ice dogs. supposedly he was amazing but pretty small...

Yeah Kelly worked at monkey and he was the captain of the Ice Dogs for a couple years.

Kelly Askew played here in the UK for a couple of seasons in Manchester.

He was always one of the top players in the league....

And once was described as being "as tough as a boiled owl" (for a small guy).... wasn't sure if that was a compliment or not?
