Most Popular Wood Stick?

Recommended Posts

Guest LEAFS12

I think the most popular wood stick where I live is the Z-Carbon. Any other good wood sticks?

Hey, welcome to the board. One of things you should try to do before you post is to check out older threads to see if the topic has been discussed already. The search function isn't enabled right now but there aren't many pages yet so try some backtracking. There was a recent thread about good wood sticks so try looking there for info. Have fun and post intelligently.

Sherwood 5030 and the 9950

i use the zcarb but i can't say im impressed. 100 flex, good stick, but warps after a bit, as well as bad curve selection, but thats not the stick's fault

im actually ordering 12 sherwood SOP's, finally, a stick with my name on it!

I don't see a lot of wood sticks anymore, but when I do, I usually see Sherwood 5030 or Bauer Wood sticks. I rarely see an Easton wood stick around here...

If I wasn't covered with OPSs, I'd try the Nike ZeroG woodie. That thing is LIGHT.

The Sher-Wood's seem to be very popular among NHL players, I personally don't like them cause they always break at the same spot, right in the middle of the blade. If you often take slap shots I woudn't recomend them, I would probably suggest the Jofa's.

Ya the blades are terrible in Sher-Woods. Great shafts though. If they could get together with Bauer and share blades they would be unbeatable woody's. Also the TPS Crossfire is the tapered woody right? If so, they are garbage.

It sounds like Sherwood 5030 are good, I'll have to try one out.

i used to love those all black koho revolutions from way back. they weighed a ton, but i always thought they performed well.

Bauers have performed well for me. Not sure about TPS woodies but i broke their prostock blade pretty quickly. Groovelights are also good but are sooo stiff.

Ya, I've used many Bauers before. I just didn't like the curve on any of them.

sherwood 9950 with a nice spezza is the way to go

those are good. the leclair is a good cruve too

the bauer 1000 woodys are awasome as well

as well as the old koho rev with the fiberglass on the side of the shaft

IMO the 5030 was terrible i dunno if it was me but i absolutly hated it. It sounds like most other people like it though.

The Koho Bullet Kombo is one of the wood sticks I've used that was the least durable, but then again, I only use wood sticks once in a blue moon, but that's one reason why there are far less wood stick users today, consistancy.
