Just got my Rink Rat MB816's!

Recommended Posts

Just got my Rink Rat MB816's in the mail.

I installed them on my HE950's. The hubs are REALLY big. They look like I installed 20" rims on my skates. :D

The coloring is definitely different from what you see on the net. I got the blue/white and they look more clear/navy in real life.

Haven't been able to skate on them yet. I'm replacing my old Rink Rat Hornets..so once I skate on them I'll have a performance review.

Thems be some big hubs that's for sure. How are they weight-wise? Light?

Weight wise...I'm probably fooling myself but they feel lighter than they were when I had the original Factory Z's on.

Yes, these are the wheels that will come with the 9500's.

Any update on performance?

My next game is tomorrow night. I'll update on Wednesday night or Thursday during the day.

Performance review update....

Surface = Sport Court and Flight Deck.

I just recently upgraded from Rink Rat Hornet 76A's.

These wheels are a HUGE upgrade from them.

Much lighter, much more grippy. Even with the larger hub these wheels have the same smooth ride as my old Hornet's. (Those who have rode Hornets know what I'm talking about).

After 1 game I can't really comment on the durability, but since they're Rink Rat's I'm sure they will last. After the game tonight I check the wheels...with the exception of obvious dust from the court, the wheels still look brand new with no signs of wear.

I mounted these wheels on my Mission He950's. The skates are much lighter than the original Factory Z's and and HUGE improvement over the Rink Rat Hornets.

If you're looking for a high performance wheel, this is the top of the line!

I just got my Mission 9500's today, and the hub of one of my RR MB816's was cracked. It was the last wheel (80mm) on my left skate. I had to buy a hyper trinity wheel to replace it. Isn't a guy from Rink Rat on these boards? I would hope that this would be covered under warranty.

Yes, I have used them in 4 practices and 3 games. Its easily the best performing stock skates i've ever worn. They're still not completely broken in, but still super comfortable. Try 'em out, but i wouldnt wear them for the first time in a game. If you do, make sure you bring you're old skates if they still fit.

Hello,

It's really not that hard to get answers from me, The problem is that I can't always be online to see the questions. If you have questions that need to be answered its always best to email me directly. If you don't email me and feel that this is your best way to contact me then you will have to allow me sometime to get to the site, a site mind you that I do frequent when I'm not travelling.

As far as your Hornets go I would say if there not already shipped then they will be shipped Monday.

As far as the college coach goes, if you have emailed us and requested sponsorship help from us and your waiting for an answer you must understand that I have over 200 teams requesting for the exact same thing your asking. It takes time to work these things out. So i apolagize for your wait.

I hope that answers some of your questions guys, I hope you all have a great Holiday weekend

I emailed Mike and he wrote me back within 10 minutes. Customer service doesn't get better than that, IMO :)
