Rusty if you do fire a lot of slappers from the point you may want to look into a composite or you'll go through sticks like apparently chadd does.

I normally use 5030's and they last me a long time. I maybe go through 3 in a season. I found them on sale last year for $15 so I have quite the stockpile still. Easily enough to get me through this season.

This new curve is on a composite stick. I've been using woodies all my life and decided to try something different.

Is that blade tapered? Is it available in the Spezza?

The Sherwood Axion 1150 composite blade is available in a tapered, Spezza pattern. Not sure about the new XD blade.

no standard, and yes they do make spezza in the XD.
