Heatley's shin guards

I noticed that Dany Heatley's legs look like logs out there! Does anyone have any idea what kind of shin guards he uses? It almost looks like he is wearing shin guards upside down.

I dont know about his leg injuries because the injuries to his leg were to his knee not his shin i thought.

The RBK shins all have huge shin protection! Everyday I look at them in the shop, I wonder who can wear these things!
