I think it's great to see that the veterans like Sakic and Turgeon are setting 500 goal records.Sakic is the last Av since they came from Quebec and is still lighting the lamp.

What other older guys do you still think have it and are still stars? Lemiux and jagr are still making the huge plays. There are lots more. Give me some names.

Go avs Go!!!

Hasek is a good call. Shanny is solid, too. Turgeon shows that he can still put it up when he´s playing with the right guys. Other than that I have to say I´m really impressed Bondra still has it. Since Kovalchuck came back he is playing a little less important role but he seems to fit very nicely into the Trashers team. On the opposite I have to say that I expected a bit more out of Jeremy Roenick. Also seems like Nieuwendyk and Roberts haven´t arived in Florida, yet. Yzerman seems to still be out of shape but that´s natural. I think he will bounce back. Chelios seems to be in his last days and we all know Hull allready bailed out.

Sundin's playing well, Domi would grab the PIMs lead if he wasn't such a pussy. I heard Almo was Healthy scratch for NJ a week or so ago. That's all of the "veterans" that come to mind for me.

to all of you who doubted Manny Legace. set the record for the most wins in a month.

How many of the games were against teams above .500 at the time? I think I counted 2, and they lost one of them. Legace is playing well, but I wouldn't be convinced on him just yet. It'll be interesting to see them in the play-offs because roughly 40% of their games are "gimme" games.

fair enough. but atleast you have noticed how well he is playing. btw the wing are one of only a few teams NOT to be involved in a shootout to date. they have lost to van twice.

You mean playing Chicago, St Louis and Columbus twice a week isn't going to produce an accurate indicator of their overall talent level?

Got me. And here I thought the Wings had the toughest schedule of any team thus far...

It's not like they've had the luxury of playing those pushover Ottawa Senators...

I know they had three in a row against the Hawks, that's a big help right there.

Here's a look at their schedule, they should be well over .500
