LHS has TPS response rubber shaft for $50

Recommended Posts

I am newish to this, have only ever used wood in the times I have played, I am skating a lot more and getting better.

Is this a good deal for a shaft, I am thinking down the line to the stage when I know what the heck I am doing and know about shafts etc.

Thanks

I have a TPS shaft with Response Rubber graphics and like it a lot...its about a 105 on the Easton scale...

If you like the feel and the flex is right..(yours may not be 105 as I think they are all Pro Stock) its a good price..

arent these kind of heavy?

probably ok price for retail..

but you probably can do better if you shop around here... and ebay..

i think it was ponty that was selling them for $20us + shipping but that was several months ago...

i could be wrong on the price.. memory is failing.. i am not sure if it due to age.. or the beer...

its a TPS Rubber shaft, with RR graphics if its the same one I have..not a RR that's been broken and cut to be used as a shaft...

sure its not a RLXN10, UL or others, but at the same time for me ..its performed well..if you are trying to have a 400g 2pc combo..its not the stick to use..

I like mine. I have a pro-stock Laperriere. Shooting with it is pretty decent, and the Rubber grip is great for keeping your hands in place while shooting. The Rubber is one of the heavier shafts out there, then again, for someone who has only used wood before it may seem lighter depending on what woody you use now, and what blade you plan to pair with it. I liked the weight of mine once I paired it with a Z-carbon. The biggest problem I have with this shaft, and all Rubber shafts for that matter, is that the Rubber will rub off and stain your gloves, and after a few games your palms will be pretty much black. Depending on how close to your body you hold your stick, it may turn parts of your jersey black too.

Do they have them in W flex? Becuase I'm looking for another one in W. Speaking of which, if anyone has any RLXN10's in W I'll take them off you.

I dont know. I am still newish to hockey, and have only used wood sticks. I was getting my skates sharpened yesterday (11/19) and noticed them on sale.

I don't know much about them, but I have learned a lot here about stuff, so thought I would ask.

I can call tomorrow and find out, or I can PM the proshop number, and you can find out what they have there, and I can pick up and ship to you, as long as you are not on the bad seller list.

I am using a Koho 2285 at the minute, got 2 when I just started playing, and still am not good enough to really know how much difference the lighter stick makes.

Its the Jagr curve, and I like it, but its the only sticks I have ever used, so have no experience with anything else yet
