tokes 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2005 AC is run off a clutch and the compressor cuts out at higher throttle because the bearings arn't meant to take that kind of high speeds. Usually 50% or more throttle and it automatically cuts out, so when you want max power you're not going to be putting hardly any to the AC compressor. hocckey77 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 I know I'm biased, but these are really two of the best cars ever made. If anyone wants to start a car museum, these two would be a good start.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-G-T...1QQcmdZViewItemhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-Por...1QQcmdZViewItem only if I had the money :(

Dan_The_Man_16 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2005 Why would you be weary of buying an older car? Sure parts are harder to get but anyone can get under the hood and fix it yourself. Removing the aircon only bumped me up about 10 hp and I lost 27 lbs by dumping it (not a big difference, but any added HP is a plus). Also, you don't need aircon if your windows work, just roll em down!
