What would you all say is the best for music and videos? I had a couple problems with Kazaa and viruses plus programs like WinMX never download for me, even though I have DSL. Any suggestions would help.Also can I burn videos from a CD-R drive and play them in a PS2 or DVD player?

Bearshare has worked the best for me Kazaa screwed my computer with pop-ups to no end.

I think Morpheus is better than Kazza, but they're the only two I've tried.

I use kazaa-lite and I have a spy bot program that searches out and destroys all those "bad programs" and not to mention a good virus protection.

I thought that Kazaa-lite was suppose to be spyware free. I could be wrong though.

Kazaa-Lite is the best P2P in terms of getting what you want. It has pretty much everything (good and bad). If you are good with computers, then you are better off with mIRC with XDCCs and etc.

You can burn movies onto dvd but its a long process and you need to download special software to format the file.

yes you do have to pay for Kazaa-Lite but you can find old versions on a bunch of german sites.

KazaaLite K++ is still packed with viruses and terribly bad quality songs. Download winmx, you can choose Birates and it clearly states the speed of the uploader. Much faster than kazaa or any other and through the 1000+ songs I have downloaded the last couple months i've had it, I think i've run into 2 or 3 bad songs. Get it.

EDIT: Anybody who has mass amounts of warezz, music, videos that you like to share, make sure you turn off the uploader during the night or over the weekend. I got an email today stating I surpassed the upload limit by 20 gigs with a total of over 30:S If I dont stop uploading at mass amounts, I get my internet cut off. Just a heads up for all you file sharers.

They aren't.. I don't know the exact difference, but all of the songs i downloaded on Kazaa were screwed up. I would have to download the same song from about 10 people before I could get a good one, and with Morpheus, I only have to download one. So I'd say Morpheus over Kazaa or Kazaa lite.

Kazaa lite ++ is free. They do not have a pay service. The only think Lite saves you from is annoying adds and some spyware. You still search of the same servers, so it wont safegaurd you from viruses. WinMX was good, but is terrible these days. Kazza is your best bet. For music I use iTunes

OK, yes you do have to pay for Kazaa lite, they got into legal troubles for using Kazaa's software. So now there is a fee for newer versions.

try that out, if it doesn't work I'll find somewhere else. I personally had to get it from a German site. I will try to dig it up.

EDIT: here you go, the latest version before having to pay, still works without any problems.

I think it's strange that nobody has mentioned Direct Connect DC++ yet?? Everyone I know say it's superior to Kazaa and all the others.
