imo, since reebok only has the 8k, bauer helmets are better, because there are more options. however, helmet vs. helmet, it would be tough to say, depends on what you like.

Bauer 8000 is ugly and doesnt fit my head right, The 5000 and 8K are both nice fit wise and I like the look of both.. In my Opinion go with the Bauer 5000

They are both certified, so I am sure protection is not an issue. I can tell you that the weight difference is HUGE. The RBK is like a feather compared to the Bauer. Bottom line is fit though (and about $50 ;) )

The RBK felt great on my head and its is super light, if it fits your head than go for the 8K.

i have a Bauer 5000 and i love it...its very comfortable and so easy to adjust

My 5000 didn't hold up well and I see a lot of people who have the same problems that I had. Then again, the three people I know with 8k's have all had problems with them as well. Two of them are using other helmets already.

i would say go with the 5000, but then again it depends what you find more comfortable

I would say go with the 8K. I've had no issues with the 8K falling apart - guess I got one out of the good batch. I'm gonna get the Bauer 8000 for my Transfomer costume next Halloween. :P

The 8k fit my big mellon head the best. Which helmet works best depends on how it fits you. I think you can't go wrong with any of the 8K, 5000, or 8000.

Been thru. 2 8k's both had problems. Back in my old Itech HC95. Waiting for the new Mission Intake helmet.
