Smart Hockey Balls

Recommended Posts

I dont know about other hockey stores but at The Hockey Stop we have things called Phat Pucks and Fly Pucks. The Phat puck is supposed to be havier then an ice puck but i think its about the same. Both slide very similar to a puck on ice. They will slide on most any surface, i have tried them on carpet, tile and asphalt. Im not BS'ing you when i say they actually do work. If you dont live around columbus then i believe you can get them off line. Just thought id let you know

The weight is similar to a puck but with a higher center of mass and obviously the rolling ball doesn't react like a puck.

I find that the smart hockey ball is best used on smooth cement. If the asphakt is rough then the ball just hops all over the place.

i use smart hockey balls and i find them quite good, as long as you use them on a smooth surface and i think it does weigh around the same as a puck

The smart hockey ball is the same weight of the puck. Also where you hit the ball in the middle is the height of a puck.

I shot a fly puck at my shooter tutor, went five hole and hit the middle post and made a huge dent in the puck. The do work really good on smooth concrete though.

I own the green one and its lighter than a puck, but the ball is ok.

the colors arent catoragized by weight are they? Ive got a blue one if it matters.

I loved the smart hockey ball. After i bought the smart hockey ball, they came out with the package of a mental cd that prepares you before a game/that comes with a smart hockey ball. I never used one of those cd's, does it work, any good? also, about two years ago, my dad went to a blacksmith--if thats what theyre still called-- and he got me three 5lbs pucks. I stick handled with them in the garage for a smooth surface. It was almost impossible to lift them without messing up your blade, and if you passed on the rink, it dented up the boards. But, in the long run, it helped out tremedously on my stickhandling quickness. I also used a golfball for quickness and it helped too.
