Yeah I saw that too. We'll see. I suspect as the season progresses, you may see him moved.

If Cloutier doesn't come back and play well, they will need a #1. Bert has a history of being cancerous, isn't getting along with coach. It's a quarter of the season in, he's got less than 10 goals, and he's making a ton of cash. He will be moved.

If they trade him, they need to get ample offense back while adressing needs. I don't think they are strong enough depth wise to lose him without replacing the offense. I have very little faith in the Sedins and Carter come playoff time, so I'd be very surprised to see Bert moved.

Yeah, I agree.

His point totals aren't bad...but only 8 goals! They didn't pay him to get assists, that's Morrison's job. He needs to be burying the puck, and he's not.

But you're right, whatever they get back is gonna have to be ample to get back what they lose in his offensive potential. I don't think his 8 goals is doing the job, but he does have the potential to do alot better.

The problem is, most guys making Bertuzzi's kind of money are on pace to eclipse their best season. Scorers who have only known the trap happy NHL on pace for their 3rd best season just aren't getting the job done.

Bertuzzi's also geared more for the old style of play though. Sure he's got some skill for a gorilla that big, but he's more about bullying thru all the old clutch/grab era.

so far Auld has been solid so I don't think I'd see Bert being traded. Berts finally starting to get his real game back, keeping his feet moving and hitting again

I know this has nothing to do with Todd, but about their goaltending, at the 2001 WJC Maxime Ouellet, who the Canucks aquired, was the starter, backed up by Auld. So, I'm sure he'll get called up, and get his share of starts.

Figures...I try to make a point on here that Bertuzzi is underperforming in the goal catergory, and what's he do??? Scores a goal against my team of course.

Then Matt Cooke pops in the game winner after Nylander decides he wants to try and stickhandle 2 ft in front of Lundquist. Genius.

I've noticed something being a Ranger fan. If you're back from injury, or in a severe goal scoring slump, play the Rangers! I can't tell you how many times I've heard Sam and JD say something like, "Ohh there's (so-and-so), great to seem him score a goal. He hasn't scored in 15 games!"

Also, team losing streaks seem to end with the Rangers too.

Sorry, but if someone did that to most of our brothers or such and we were within striking range of getting retribution, I am sure you would have a lot of people do something vicious. He wouldn't have gotten owned because Bert would be on the ice knocked out. Now, I don't support any of that...But D Moore already showed he is a stronger and better person by not doing anything stupid.

But I won't lie. I am looking foward for the night when Bert gets his.

I'm looking forward to the night when Steve Moore realizes he'll never play in the NHL ever again not because of what Bertuzzi did but because he lacks any tangible skills to do so.
