BenderHockey 127 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 as I grab his sleeve that is still pretty close to my face, wipe the blood on it, and hop the boards to the box.Whether he made a bad call or not, wiping YOUR blood on anyone else is pretty low-class in my book. Louie 28 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 I got thrown out of a game last week because someone shot a puck during warm-ups and the Zamboni doors were open. I got thrown out because I was the captain.
Krev 86 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 Whether he made a bad call or not, wiping YOUR blood on anyone else is pretty low-class in my book.It was maybe a drop or three, not like it was a pool of blood. Regardless, he got a chuckle out of it.
Stryker 37 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 Slashed someone after the whistle, (turtled -long story why-) proceeded to get jumped and have my helmet/cage nearly ripped off. Somehow, the ref calls me for a slash and a rough, other guy for a slash, hold, and rough. As I skate to the box and learn of this, I cry whaaaaat? And the ref gives me 2 for Unsportsmanlike. Unreal. And the best part, when I ask him where the roughing penalty came from, he replies that he made it up. Absolutely ridiculous stuff there.
nexusrage21 1 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 The worst I ever had was in OT of a game, we scored a goal, the ref called it a goal, and then the goalie pulled the puck out with his leg and complained and the ref reversed the call. The game ended in a tie, but we should have won.I also had to interesting high-sticking penalties in consecutive games about two years ago. First one, the player on the other team called for a high stick and the ref called it even though he had already turned his back to follow the play. (wasn't dirty, just a fighting for position and then trying to turn and go careless play) I definitely got him with my stick on his cage, but there was no way the ref saw it.The second was a play where the ref saw the high stick, signaled for the penalty, but play went on. Well, when we finally touched up, I was sent to the box. The only thing was, I wasn't on the rink for the penalty.
mug25 2 Report post Posted November 10, 2010 Alright!!! I finally get to add to this thread!Tonight, in my C League game the puck gets passed around the boards and literally stops behind the net in the offensive zone. Loose puck, no one there and the goalie stayed in net. I'm skating directly at the puck and what happens? I get a stick around my mid-section and then get bumped hard from behind right beside the net. My 300lb ass goes flying into the goalie (who happens to be a good friend of mine). I get called for interference on the goalie....no hooking nor interference call on the guy who took me down. So my first non-roughing penalty of the season...fun.
