Reebok 5K Shaft

Recommended Posts

Are there any users of the Reebok 5K shaft that care to offer me their opinion on it? How's the puck feel for this shaft? How's the performance? Anything else you could think to add.

I tried the search but it had trouble with the topic.

Thanks in advance.

It's pretty nice. Weight-wise, it's right up there with the lightest shafts. I like the snakegrip feel. It's not tacky, but it gives you good traction. Pretty good snap.

The only downside for me is that it's kinda too round, so that when you wind up for hard shot, the shaft rolls a bit in your hands.

Other than that, I'd be happy to answer any specific questions for you.

Feels really offbalanced, both with wood and composite, snakeskin is good PP, nice inbetween grip. Shots are decent, but just dislike the feel and weight, btw does anybody know when the TPS cataloge will be out, heard some rumours of new shafts?

And on the subject of TPS.... the original Redlight is cheaper most places compared to the 5k and alot nicer, actually a very good shaft (again PP) especially for the money.

I've found when checking out the 5K shafts that some have convex sides (that round feeling) while most have the concave sides. I thought the concave sided shafts felt better.

That's PP. I happen not to like the rolling in my hands feeling when shooting. I don't feel like I get as good a whack at the puck as I do with other shafts.

Stickhandling feels good though.

I tried the 5k for a couple of sessions with a wood blade, it was quite nice, good balance, didn't amaze me though....

Very good shaft. AVOID the ops though!mine broke in two training sessions, blade split right down the middle. My LHS (being england) took so long on the warranty replacement (5 weeks) in the end i just chose to get my money back. The shaft is very good though.
