stock07 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2006 Definatly, get a LHS to pull off your blades and get a goalie chassis and get them to mount it...The only problem is finding a goalie chassis they are few and far between but I do know they are out there I have seen them on the net a few places. stock07 1 Report post Posted January 4, 2006 Right I understand I was just answering his question if it could be done or not...If it were me I would just spend around $250 I think and pick up some bauer 1000 goalie skates...But I do understand wanting to keep a good ole broke in pair...But like chadd said it is a little more difficult to do than player skates and someone who know what they are doing needs to do it. stock07 1 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Ash is right you could always go with like a sure grip flat chassis and slap on some 50 whatever wheels and have ya a sweet pair of tender skates....And you can find those flat sure grip frames all over the net. Justin 1933 134 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 The problem with the Bauer Roller skate is two fold: The boot is crap (way to soft and no support) and the chassis only allows for the really small wheels. Unlike Ice Hockey where you want to be as low to ice/floor as possible, in roller you want to be up a bit higher so your pad doesn't hit the ground...This allows you to skate better and not have your pad stick on the ground..I think a better option is to get a set of boots you like, have a chassis put on, and use 59mm wheels...Just so you guys don't think I am bad mouthing my competitors, I was on Grafs for a long time, loved my Bauer 5000s before that, and have ordered a set of RBK Pump Goalie skates for my next pair. Patrick67 1 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Our goalie has Graf Goalie boots with a Lebeda Goalie Chassis on them, looks sweet.Only problem is he uses a size 50(euro) and the skates, which were the largest he could find, are 48(euro) or a size 12 in US (i think)Are there any companies that make a size 13 or 14 goalie boot?
