Alright, I get your point, but all (most, anyways) of them still at least have an assload of money that they won't need to have a degree or even get a job.

Young going to the NFL now maximizes his $, I think they figured that Leinart likely lost about $4mil by staying in school this year..of course he likely also nailed every coed in So Cal sooooo...fair enough..

USC never had a great defense..Young looked great..but seriously..you think NFL teams aren't going to put a spy LB on him in the show? The things Pete Carroll did to fail in the NFL, were the same things that cost them the bowl..People said no one would stop Vick and its been far from true..yes Young is bigger..but the LB's are bigger and just as fast in the show...

Trades should make stuff interesting at the top..Houston could do what Parcells did while with NYJ when Manning didn't come out for the draft

Everyone talks about how it's a deep CB class. But can any of them tackle. I'm getting sick of watching NFL games every week and watch as these pansies "attempt" to tackle. It's gross how a receiver makes a catch, breaks 4 "tackles" or attempted jersey grabs and takes it to the house. Somebody please tell me this deep class can tackle. Then send some over to the Giants for me. Thanks...

Maybe if the corner could cover, he wouldn't have to tackle as much. :D

Actually, the Eagles are lucky in that both Lito and Sheldon are above average tackling corners.

He sat for most of a year, had a good season and hasn't come close to having as good a season. At this point, San Diego easily won that trade.

San Diego won that trade just with Tomlinson. It would've been a much better trade than if they could've drafted better with the 3rd rounder that year and 2nd rounder the next. Although Reche Caldwell was decent before the injury last year.

San Diego may have won the trade, for now, who knows what will happen when their careers are over, but that doesn't diminish the fact that Vick *is* a QB who came out early and has had significant impact.

Didn't Rex Grossman leave early? Not that he's made a significant impact, but he's one of the few I can remember leaving early and actually having an impact.

Not sure on Grossman, but I think he finished out his career.

Vick's impact came a year after sitting, I'm talking QBs that will come out and start right away. The Oiler/Titans did it right with McNair and I really hope he falls to #3 'cause I'd pay to watch him play for sure.

At this point, I can't see Leinart being taken before Young. Leinart seems destined to be a mediocre QB in the pros and Young has that rare ability to take over a game.

while i disagree about leinart's pro ability, do you really think could take over a game, like the rose bowl, in the NFL? VY was a man among boys at the rose bowl, he wont be like that in the NFL. i seem him being a poor mans mcnabb, which is still a very good QB

I don't think you can compare him to McNabb really, I mean McNabb's pretty small and a far better passer but it'll be interesting to see how VY can run in the NFL. Granted USC's defence is just complete crap, but I can't see him being taken down easily in the NFL. He'll just have to learn to slide like everyone else.

I think you have it backwards mack. McNabb is fairly big and an inaccurate passer. It's not all his fault though as Andy Reid's system isn't a great fit for McNabb's abilities.

And yes, I think that VY could take over a game in the NFL. Maybe not to the extent he did in the Rose Bowl, but he's got that kind of talent. Leinart might read defenses better, but it's always a lot easier when you have the kind of offensive line that he did in college.

McNabb's not a great passer by any means, but have you seen VY throw? It's about as close to a girl-like motion as you can get. I really hope he can get some work on that.

vince young would benefit most from another year in college, but the reality is that this is the highest his stock is ever going to be. after a performance like that at the rose bowl he has everything going his way, and i dont blame him for taking advantage of the situation while its there.

vince still has a major flaw, which is that he cant run to the left because he isnt effective running with the ball in his left hand. the running touchdown in the rose bowl where he ran left, and completely reversed and went back right for a touchdown was an example of how he is uncomfortable running left. his throwing game is still questionable, but getting a solid year of development in the NFL could turn out to be great for him. you can make strong arguments for both cases

IMO i think vince's game belongs in college. He is tall, skinny legs and has a TERRIBLE throwing form. Once he gets in the show I think it is all down hill, unless he learns how to properly throw a football.

Sorry, i was commenting on his appeal on the field. I foregot to checout his true stature. Regardless, he looks like he is walking on stilts imo. I think his legs are the biggest possible target for anyone trying to tackle him.

True about Leinart, but his mechanics are a lot better than vince. Imo i think Matt will turnout much better than vince.

If he ends up with Tennessee and his old O.C. then he should be fine, because Chow has to know Leinart's liablilties. I wouldn't mind Leinart, but his arm strength is pretty average at best, but that's not to say they can't hide that with their offencive scheme.

Skinny? He's 6'5" 230lb. If you call that skinny, what the hell is Leinart?

I once knew a guy who after watching a Flyers practice said that Lindros was small. This guy weighed around 270, but still... Lindros isn't exactly small.

mack, true again. For me, when I try to compare the two, Leinart has talent in areas that will be needed more. For example, vince's running game will decrease dramatically imo. I think Leinart has a strong base (throwing form etc) to build from, and I think in the long run, matt will develop a much better arm. Who knows, maybe matt falls under the pressure and vince becomes the next vick.
