Seeing how sloppy and uneven it looks I'd say no, not to mention bauer has already released the 06 catalog. I'd say its a XX with pro-toe put on the sides.

ya i agree they probably would have been worn or advertised in the nhl or ahl etc first cause lots of ppl see these games but elite leagues are hardly known by most ppl----I did see the bauer-nike 2006 catalogue and the XXX skates havent changed.

They look like XX's with something extra on em. It looks like it might be just some extra protection for his ankle or something. A lot of players where extra protection around or on there skates. Prongers lil things come to mind.

nope that is something new... i was looking at the oilers pics from their superskills contest and you can see a few players with that same skate... there is even a few with both the new skate and old one in the same pic so you know it's not lighting.

i don't have any place to put the pics and they are in flash so i can't link them but if you go to their site new xxx and look at the flash pics at the bottom (not the top pics) you'll see a number of pics with the new skates. look for players 26 and 19

It's just the normal 30's that Reasoner and Winchester are both wearing. Nothing different, no outline like you saw in the first picture.

IMO it is so obvious, this guy isnt even in a pro league, why would bauer give him new XXX or XXXX why would we have not heard about them fro the NHL even the SM-LIGA, DEL or the ELITSERIEN(sp?)
