Rinks in hockey movies

Anyone knows what rinks are being used in various hockey movies, such as Youngblood, the Mighty Ducks movies, and other Hollywood movies featuring hockey? And has anyone ever skated/played at one?

How about Slap Shot (the original movie)? I've heard two locations: Colgate University Starr Rink (Hamilton, NY) and Cambria County War Memorial Arena (Johnstown, PA). Are both being used or is that information not correct?

I sometimes play at the rink where some of Miracle was shot. All the hockey sceens were around B.C.

Johnstown was the home rink but they filmed the road games in a number of other cities. The Hansons talk about the various cities over the course of the 25th ann edition.

I THINK Youngblood was filmed at Mountain Arean in Hamilton, ON.

D-2 was filmed at Columbia Arena in Fridley, MN. Place has really fallen on hard times in the last few years and is going to be torn down for, can you believe it, housing. The teams that play there now are going to be moving to the Schwans Super Duper Rink. It used to be just four rinks but now it's EIGHT. Eight rinks under one roof.

It used to be sweet as a kid watching the movie then going to Columbia for a game. Lots of good memories there.

Some of Mighty Ducks I was filmed in Parade arena in Minneapolis..pretty average arena. Then there were parts filmed at a different rink in Minnesota, I cant think of it. Elk River's arena, maybe? I cant remember. Ill think of it eventually.

I am almost positive that The Mighty Ducks (original) was filmed at the Bloomington Ice Garden (that's the one with 3 rinks right?). I remember playing in it three years ago. D-2, up until the championship game, was shot in New Hope's older rink. It could be the other way around, but those were the two rinks involved in D-1 and D-2.

Just friends was shot here in regina, I havnt actually seen the movie. But from what I'm told the rink thats in the movie is the Doug Wickenhieser memorial Arena. I play there all the time too.

A buddy of mine told me that the third mighty ducks movie was shot at his college rink, Bethel University, in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Bethel's home rink is Columbia arena. The school shots in D3 were split between SSM and the College of St. Catherine's.

Wow, I didnt know that..Ive only been there once when I was younger. Is the mars bar commerical with the Kiss music?
