Considering Neved obviously didn't fit into the 'Yotes plans I think they got a pretty solid player in Seidenberg.

Seidenberg hasn't played that well this year. He's been tentative with the puck and hasn't skated as well as he's capable of.

He was also out of options and was the obvious choice of defensemen to go since Pitkanen came back and Meyer and Jones are both playing better than him.
