Has my curiosity since I'll be rehabbing an ankle injury in about 8-weeks. Let's say your anklebones aren't regular, meaning your inside anklebones are angled much more forward than they should be compared to your outside anklebones, you could get more material on the face of the skate to wrap around this messed up ankle so your bone sits on a comfortable padding, instead of a stiffer eyelet area. Hockey DeVoTee 1 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 JR...... why the heel lift??? I this to compensate for the neutral or negative pitch that is built into the holder? Is the pitch of the LS2 Power the same as LS & LS2??Is the 3mm lift equal to how much pitch on a changed profile?Sorry for all the Q's....... THANKS!!! JR Boucicaut 3803 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Exactly that. I'll have the heel lift plus a +1 on the steel...that way I don't grind off too much - LS2 doesn't have much to begin with.
Hockey DeVoTee 1 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Thanks!! what is the plus 1 equal too?? Or is it from a Blademaster Jig..... 1st setting(mark)? Thanks Again!!!

Fletch 219 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Pre-punch for bone spurs Anyone know how this is done without being there so they can see the area? Do you just send them pics of your feet and indicate where you need it punched?
JR Boucicaut 3803 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Yes, you have your feet traced and you mark any abnormalities.
Fletch 219 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 And they do this in the shop you order from? Do all shops offer this?
JR Boucicaut 3803 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 First Line dealers were trained to do it but usually you just bring the sales rep in to do it. I did mine by myself and I had the form so I just submitted it.

I think I actually recall seeing a first line dealer decal in the window at Hawk Hockey. In my experiences they have been more helpful with custom ordered stuff. hurricane 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2006 no pain and custom one 90's that my freind would be sick Then I've come down with a 104 degree fever...mine should be done in a couple of wks :)Keeping it stock as far as options go - just custom width, quarter sizing, and 3mm heel lifts. You changing the holder?, I never asked you do you like the LS2? Now that I went to cobra I don't think I'll ever go back.....Putting NT 3000 on my 8090. :P
JR Boucicaut 3803 Report post Posted February 10, 2006 That's why I am keeping the heel lifts. If worse comes to worse, I'll slap PITCH on there, but I think it'd take away from the overall aspect of the skate...

If worse comes to worse, I'll slap PITCH on there, but I think it'd take away from the overall aspect of the skate... What are you skating in now? I have been on my cobras for about a month and when I went out on my 8090's with the LS2 holder it felt so soft. If I remember right you have missions now ,Is'nt that holder stiff? I felt like I got a performance boost with the Nt's. When I pushed Man did I go. I am wondering if you might notice that as well.
