Alright here's my problem, in dynasty mode the Mathew Sinclair dude challenges me to win the Cup with a top 5 profit rating. I can win the Cup, but don't know how to get the top 5 rating. I'm using my created team, if that matters.

What difficulty do you guys play on? I play difficult and still score alot of goals a game, I created a goalie and he averages letting in like 4/5 goals a game, he is 99, is this a glitch or just something that cant be fixed

its because youre playin at difficult when i first played at beginner my goalie let up1-2 goals a game he was a 99 too

the forwards are better shooters so no matter how good youre goalie is some shots will go in

You guys notice the goalie stats are always screwed up? Press pause, look at the shots on goal, then go to the stats part and look at your goalies stats mid game. Eventually, it will be 2 or 3 or 4, I've had as high as a difference of 9 shots lower than what it says at just the pause menu. I can't figure it out. And when the game ends, it uses the shot amount from the stats screen, so of course my goalies save percent sucks.

I never check out stats, especially for goalies because they're all bloated and insanely high. Only thing I can even lower goals is turning that stupid "goalie cover frequency" or whatever to zero.

Is it just me or is it much more difficult to control nhl 06? I like the animations and the game looks better, but the controls have gone overboard and the special shots aren't very easy to perform well. I liked it when it was simple, back in the '01 days.

I thought that maybe the pause screen uses total shots (all shots whether they are on net or not) and the stats screen keeps shots on goal.

yeah, It is really easy to score, you just have to fake to one side and go back to the other, the goalies down and out, then you just gotta send it up top. Or wrap arounds you skate in front of the net and shoot tight side.

-Going in to your backhand then cutting to the forehand, but make sure to aim in the middle of the net or you'll get post.

-Pulling up in-between the blue line and circle on the off-wing, shooting low to the far side and getting a rebound.

Then there's the bitch goal, just coming out front of the net and pulling a lame deke and roofing it.

winning the cup bumps you up a couple of spots.. also do the upgrades to save on taxes.. and do the upgrade that saves you on contracts..

Yeah Mack, I hate using that coming from behind the net goal, but if you really need a goal, late in the game, that'll probably get it.

The easiest way to score from my experience is to set your attacking pressure to "aggressive" and your playbook to "behind the net". when you get the puck in your own end pass it to centre from there to the right winger, use turbo, get around behind the opposing net from rightt to left and then pass it to the slot for a one-time with your centre who should have arrived by then (unless it´s one of those Lindros type guys). I score on 90% of those plays.
