Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 I just started thinking once this topic came up. I really do like that card idea, and may do it for a "V-day" type of thing. I want to go away for reading week and I know the misses is short on cash. Maybe I'll spring for us to go down to Florida or Montreal. Only problem is our reading week falls during the Olympics, so I can't catch and NHL game. I figure we'll go skiing in MTL, or golfing and other crap in FLA. More than likely that's the case, but some people are totally colour blind and can't see them.

Nelly 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 Does anyone else thing that guys wearing pink is a bit much. My wife wants to get me pink shirts and stuff and I just won't do it. I just think pink was meant for skimpy lingerie that only stays on for a moment, underwear and for girls clothes. I used to be in the same boat that you are in right now. My gf at the time kept hounding me to buy a pink shirt to match her pink dress. I HATED the idea! (This was for her homecoming or w/e and I was in college) Usually I would only see boys wearing pink like it was going out of style, but never any guys. Finally I broke down and spent the $80 for the only pink dress shirt I could find and anoth $50 for a tie. I got SO many compliments on it that I gradually started wearing it to work every once in awhile. A little later, I broke down and bought a casual pink shirt and now have about 5 of them (dress and casual). Women do really like to see a guy that is confident and secure enough to wear pink and other pastel colors as long as they don't completely overdo it.As far as V-day goes, last year I had my boss come up with a front of me having to go out of town for work. She was so upset, but it was going to allow me to actually get along with my plan. While she was in class on V-day (her thinking I was gone) I spent a couple hours cooking her an elegant dinner, setting up candles, putting rose pettles on the floor in a trail up to her bedroom where I had a sexy black dress that she had been eyeing for the longest time. I also had her favortie earings and necklace out for her. Once she was dressed she followed another trail of roses to the dining room where I was waiting for her with her favorite meal in. We sat at the table with a dozen roses and a nice candle center piece. Needless to say, she did whatEVER I wanted for the next couple weeks and pulled out some tricks that I had not seen from her before in tryingto please me :P

I have a couple club-type shirts with some pink in them, and I have a nice pink tie. I was pretty unsure about wearing it before, but if you pull it off right a lot of people are going to notice because it'll stand out without being obnoxious. Pink T-shirts are pretty lame, but a little bit of pink is good. Here's one of the combos I wear to more relaxed events with my suit, navy/pinstripes + light blue shirt + pink tie with a little bit of a pattern on it. Got lots of compliments on it, and my girlfriend was drooling ;) I know pretty much anyone appreciates when their GF gets some nice looking clothes, and it doesn't hurt to try and please them once in a while. I'm with Warrior here. Get her back, revenge is a dish best served inside a close friend/sister of hers. That sounds like the best advice Buzz ever gave me; "Stick it in her best friend." Of course it wasn't topical to any of my problems, but I still haven't forgotten it.
mack 44 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 I think that's handed down from every generation to the next when it comes to avenging one's manhood from a woman. Haven't had to implement in and hopefully never will, so I just did it for spite.
