Nolan Coming Back?

Recommended Posts

I'm so pissed he had to leave the NHL. Especially since there's no ways he's coming back to the leafs. I miss him he was a great playoff scorer for the leafs.

Are you being sarcastic?

- I don't know how well this will work out for Nolan. If he puts off his grievance, it kills his case. There's 2 scenarios that happen with the grievance, he wins and is bought out, become a UFA not available to the Leafs, or else he loses and becomes a UFA available to anyone. It's pretty well common sense he won't be back as a Leaf, but if he goes forward with this, and still wants to file a grievance, the Leafs could definately argue it was an unfair situation that they weren't allowed to bid on a UFA.

Iggy, Simon, Donovan, Leclerc, Nilson, McCarty, Wiemer, are all capable of causing grief infront.

He could very well go there, but I doubt it's beause they don't have enough guys to stand infront.

The more I think about it, the more I say he doesn't sign anywhere unless he drops his grievance.

It'd cost more, but if they can afford it then Tkachuk's worth it. After losing the el bees from early on, he's done well.

I really don't know if Nolan can play "his game" anymore. He played 7 playoff games for the Leafs and he was useless in them as he was hurt.

I'm not completely sure on the grievance, but my understanding is this:

Nolan had a clause stating he would get paid whether he was healthy or not during the lockout

- The Doctor who did his surgery said he could play early into the lock-out. Then he claimed he was still injured, and is still injured to this day. Leafs had him examined, and he is still hurt, but it's not believed to be the same injury.

Leafs claim he did it outside of their control, he says its the same injury. Leafs win, his contract is void, pay'em nothing. If he wins, Leafs pay'em 6 mill for the lock-out and another 4 for a buy-out.

Whats his grievance about again?

Also, I really think the Rangers need to look at some toughness on the top two lines. They just got beat to a pulp yesterday in Philly and a big man on one of the big lines will help somewhat. I would like Tkachuk even more, but it will cost too much.

Tkachuk's contract for next year isn't too bad($3.8M?) but it will count $5M against the cap.

i would love to have thachuk on the rangers, adds some grit to the second line, and the team over all, and their powerplay would have someone for in front, where nylander, jagr and straka all seem like getting someone in front for point shots isnt too important.. rangers also have cap room, and im sure they wouldnt have to give much up to get thachuk.. how would he fit on european dominated team??

also prucha just got knocked out for probably 4 weeks, a couple of those the olympic break, but when he comes back, that would be 3 solid lines..
