also, are there any brands that make custom skates?

What part of the skate is too narrow? If it's the toe box, your friend could try some Nikes. Graf and Bauer make custom skates. I think that Mission does as well. Not sure about other companies.

I always used Bauer because they have EE for almost all their models, where as mission will make some models only in D width and some models in only E width.

Most mission junior skates only come in E, the others come in D or EE. The Salming F1s that Jason sent me to try are among the widest skates I've ever worn.

If this post were in the roller hockey forum, I might assume he was talking about inline skates. Since it's in the ice hockey section, I'm going to assume it's about ice hockey skates. I don't recall a vector 6.5 inline either.

That's what I thought /\

I've worn D in Bauer and I got D in a pair of ol' CCM 3500 and the fit it totally different...much wider.

Been looking for new skates. So what would that CCM be in Bauer and Easton? E I'm guessing?

I have a pair of Rbk 4k in E and they are rubbing my small toe. I have Nikes in EE and they are so comfortable but I could probably fit into a D nike as well.

i was talking to a guy yesterday with a pair of reebok 3k's. I went out to a public skate to teach some friends and saw he had the reeboks on, didnt realize they were the lower end model until i asked... at any rate, he said that reebok custom made those for him because he needed a EEE or something like that. I imagine that if they will custom make the 3K, they will custom make any.

and since reebok is ccm's parent company, i would assume CCM could do the same.

rbk does not mak custom skates below the 9/8k skates. That guy probably had his skates widened at his LHS or he was told hey were very wide. Because no company would spend alot of money low end skate
