What are the leafs doing?

Oh my god, what are the Leafs doing?!?! I might have to do something drastic if they don't make the play-offs! Oh dear :(

Don't feel bad, Eazy. The way the Bruins have played since the Olympics, you guys should be able to pick up two tonight....

(Actually, I think the B's have been playing poorly even longer, but Tim Thomas was in such a zone he overshadowed the poor play. I remember back-to-back games in which they gave up around 38 to 47 shots, yet picked up two wins.)

Eazy- Things could be worse...Put things in perspective now.

I understand your pain, but at least you guys have regularly made the playoffs recently- Although this year your chances are very much not happening

I'd much rather take the chance of being embarrassed than finish 9th or 10th and move up a couple spots in the draft.

I figure that each year we make the playoffs is another year Quinn won't be fired. Therefore, I'm hoping we don't win another game the rest of the year.

People I would like to see missing from the Leafs roster next season: Berg, Belak, Domi (Likely), Belfour (Likely), Wilm, Allison, Khavanov, and a couple high rollers that get paid way more than their worth..

Highly unlikely, however, if Quinn is still running the show.

Although, one player I am happy to see playing is that Ondrus guy, it's nice to see a guy give it 110% every shift and get things fired up.

Berg- Yes he still makes a lot of defensive mistakes, but he is a big, relatively good skating defenseman. He is relatively young (28) and has the second best plus/minus for the team on defense, just one behind Kaberle. I'll give him one more year.

Belak- Keep him on the roster, just don't play him unless we play a bitch team like the Sens and we need to hand out a beating.

Domi-No sense in keeping him. I like the guy, just not in a Leafs uniform.

Belfour- Thanks for being mediocre.

Wilm- He can kill penalties and everything, but he isn't great at much else. Let him go.

Allison- Keep him if we can get him cheap. He has 55ish points and is basially a point per game player. He is good on the PP. I like him.

Khavanov- Let him go. He has been bleh all year.

Who I would really like to see go unless they get their ass in gear- O'Neill.

What "high rollers" are you talking about?

Sorry I should have said "high roller" and I should have said Sundin

2 goals and 1 assist tonight through 2 periods. I'll keep him.

Looks like Boynton has done it again!

Screwed his team over for whining about the penalty

Something tells me Sullivan isn't like Boynton that much right now.

Nice to see the team winning again but Quinn is getting too much credit for this, if takes them going in the tank for them to realize it is him and not the players that need to go then so be it.

Guys I would like to see gone after this year are O'Neill, Lindros, Allison unless he makes less money, Antropov, Khavanov, Berg and Belfour. The main thing is actually using the freed up money right, horrible aquisitions even for the situation they put themselves in last summer.

We need a new quality scorer for Sundin, number two center, second defence pairing and a cleared up goalie situation before we can do anything in the playoffs. Obviously, that can't all happen this summer but at least get the guys in front of him straightened out before Pogge or Rask make the team.

What is really going to hurt is if there is a gap between when Sundin, Tucker, etc. and Pogge/Rask truly perform at the NHL level, could be a long few years if that happens.

Unless Quinn's gone a new scorer for Sundin is wasted because he'll be back out there centering plumbers.

True, I thought they already tried him with Poni and Antropov last week? Can't wait to see how long this lasts after he got three points last night.

You mean like O'Neill playing with Welly and Domi getting 10 minutes a game? He tried him out with Sundin for a while, but rotated after O'Neill didn't score in 2 games. I feel bad for O'Neill, they guys done alright, but Quinn sets him up to fail, he got alot of his minuses playing with Allison and Tucker, which is possibly the worst defensive line ever created. Then he keeps toying with him and Sundin. I mean how can Quinn have Hoglund, Renberg and Thomas beside Sundin the entire year, during some of their worst years ever (one season Thomas had around 5 goals all season) and then he juggles O'Neill if he goes into a 2 game "funk".

Nice to see them win a shoot-out, at least Tucker dekes.

I liked a while back when it was Kilger-Sundin-Steen and Stajan-Wellwood-O'Neill, since when does the third line PP specialist need the better set of wingers?

Interesting indeed, you would think he would go back to his own Synergy or get Alfie specs on a TPS by now.

The TPS rep called me this morning to tell me that Mats new sticks got delayed for some reason and that's why he's still using the Synergy.
