those are amazing looking

i want a pair

Keep in mind, A LOT of people used t,blade and switch back to normal blade or some didn't want them because they would cost too much or for X reason they didn't use them.

Now that a new models is out, everybody want them, that make no sens. If you don't like synergy, why would you buy the new Stealth grip stick? It is actually the same idea.

But i'm with you, i used t,blades and i didn't hated them, they were just so much pricey!(25cnd for around 5-10hours!)and with this new model, ligther( i have this hype''the ligther the better'') It make me think about switching back but T'BLADES is still t'blades.

So i'm staying with my LS2 and the guy who sharpen is a pro!!so i can also get custom profile!

But if they were doing a holder like this for normal blade, I would be the first to buy it! Why don't T'blades think about making Holder for Normal blade!!

with the LHS you go to in reasonable range of your house, tblades are a waste of money. stick with your ls2, as the sharpenings and profiles there are unreal. plus if you want even more of a tblade feel, get a mirror sharpening, ask seymour for one, it costs more, but apparently he syas its worth it.

oh really, why do seymour never told me things like this. Mirror sharpening you say??Could be a longer lasting sharpen?

Okay, the fact that your guy is offering different levels of sharpening concerns me. What does that tell the customer? "I'll do a good job if you pay more?" Seriously. That's just lame. I offer the same sharpening to a mite or an NHLer.

Agreed. If you are going to do a job, do it right or don't do it at all. That is lame that a shop would offer different levels of sharpening.

I just got back from my LHS to pick up my skates. It looks like the holders are straight now. I won't really know until I hit the ice tomorrow.

Unfortunately the skate tech had the audacity to tell me that the skates didn't leave his shop like that. He claims that I put too much torque on them when I skate and the holder moved. That is an interesting claim since the rivet holes didn't enlarge. He also managed to chip up the finish when he rerevited.

What happened to doing a job right and taking responsibility? The bottom of my skates look like swiss cheese now. There are so many holes in the skates that if the holders aren't right now I might as well throw away the skates.

This is unfortunate for the legitimate shop owners. It makes people want to do all their shopping online. Buying a pair of skates with T-blades installed and buying everything online is looking more and more appealing.

Sorry to hear about that, but getting it online would not be the solution.

It all boils down to people not knowning what they are doing.

I have had problems with this shop before but I always give them the benefit of the doubt and chances to fix things. I am always giving them second chances. At this point I am fed up with them.

I agree with you that it just comes down to the fact that the people who work at the shop don't know what they are doing. Unfortunately none of the other shops, that I know of, in Southeastern MA or RI are much better.

There seems to be a mentality today that people desire a cheap price over quality. To meet that need the shops hire unqualified workers and do a poor job training them. I'd rather pay more for quality and good workmanship but it doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Well... I don't know that it is right to name them in public, even though they probably deserve it... but I will say this:

They are a large chain shop with stores in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The specific store I went to is in Rhode Island.

mirror sharpening is different than regular, its shiney on the bottom, liek the ritz carlton of sharpenings. takes a while, so it costs more

The hell it does!

You're paying more for him applying oil to the blade and doing a slow final pass. Guess thsoe additional bucks goes towards a bottle of Gusto-Glide or Fine Shine...

Come on man, that astro-glide is like $5 a bottle and you only get 60 or 70 pair of skates out of it. You have to charge extra.

There is a local guy who could tell if we ran out of stuff. He said he was faster with the the skate lube.
