Waxed Laces.. yea, im in love.

Recommended Posts

Ok. So I noticed that the laces on my Salming f1s were fraying a little bit so I decided to get a new pair. I tried waxed laces in the past, but didnt really like the way they felt with my ccms. I know that my boot could be a little tighter with my salmings so I decided to give them another shot..

wow.

I was amazed a how much of a difference it made. My boot was hugging every last inch of my foot... and it stayed that way. Anyways, I am sold on waxed laces.

I have heard of people waxing their own laces.. does this work well? Whats the best way of doing it?

Had the same thing not a while ago :D I needed new laces too so I bought waxed too, from unwaxed to waxed is just great :) Skates fitted much better and I didn't need to tie them after every shift on the ice.. just great :D

Wellll....you could try it yourself, but IMO it would be too much of a PIA. Just buy a couple of pairs. Kid on my team told his mom he wanted to try wax laces. His mom put his laces in a melting pot with craft wax. They ended up looking like pipe cleaners.

I had a hard time finding anything waxed in 130.. I had to settle for 120 (which is fine, but I just cant wrap it around my ankles as well).
