kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 After I lifted the past few days (Arm Curl), I seem to have a pain in my arm. It feels like a shin-splint and it hurts pretty bad. Does anyone know what Im talking about? Its not a muscle pain. Should I just let it rest or what?

#96 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2006 Tendon. Happens when you overextend during the lowering portion of your movement. You pull the weight up, then as you lower, you lower too far beyond where you should, and since it's weighted, it puts too much stress on the tendon and possibly joint. It will go away. Do less weight for the next couple weeks, and focus on PROPER FORM. Lift up to your high-chest, and lower to a point where your elbow is still slightly bent. You should be ok. Should I increase my protein intake to help repair it? Cause it hurts pretty bad whenever I shoot. should I just lay off of it, or should I keep lifting?WIll ice or heat help at all?
