Malkin Video

He's good, very good. I can see hmi being a very good nhl'er in the next years. He looks to be more complete than AO. I still think Crosby will be the best of the bunch, but Malkin's impressive.

If you compare those three big names to past heroes, my comparisons would be the following:

Crosby- Gretzky type of player, just pure hockey sense and talent

Malkin- Lemieux, big, strong and smooth

Ovechkin- Maybe a Pat LaFontaine type of player, but bigger and more physical.

Disagree about the Crosby part, and also Ovechkin is said to be one of the MOST complete players to come into the league.

Man that music sucked

He's got great skill, but I can't see him being as effective as good as Ovechkin in the NHL. Best thing I noticed about him is his speed.

Oh and Rbk has a deal with him i believe for whoever asked.

AO is not like Bure. At least we can only hope. And in case we're wondering who's the most like Gretzky in terms of hockey sense, positioning etc etc putting the puck in the net, it would have to be Crosby. The maturity that he plays with is not normal for an 18 year old. Certainly normal for a 20 year old to play like that, but not an 18 year old. Those 2 years are probably the longest years of anyones life in term of development.

Sure Crosby is most Gretzky like, but is today's NHL fit for that kind of player? Or one like Ovechkin that goes all out every shift and puts the puck in the net.

I don't know if you're old enough to totally appreciate Gretzky. I know I'm not. Remember, conditioning and energenic play only last so long and only get you so far. Gretzky did the unrepeatable because he had the mind for it. I'm sure there were rookies his rookie year that were WAY more manly or whatever than Wayne was. But they didn't do what he did and we don't remember their names.

I think that if anyone has a chance of being as good a player as Gretzky was, it is Crosby. That Malkin looks really big and really good. I wonder if he can maintain a career in the NHL, we don't know how injury prone he is.
