Hockeypunk 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2006 yea I have seen them on abeay a few tims but never my size.... how much for the vibes and what size?
wickedlite44 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 i think they are a 7.5, they are new in the box, im not sure on the price, maybe 400?
Hockeypunk 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 400's a little much I would just do another ice to roller conversion for that much. But thanks for the offer. Ill just keep browsing ebay and what not... might pick up some v-forms on ebay... any one know how easy or hardmounting a v-form chassis is?
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 Not sure how difficult they would be to mount, but I'd stay away. Worst skate I've ever worn. There's a reason they took that theory out of play.
Hockeypunk 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 worst skate eh, what made them so bad. I have never skated on any but A few guys I used to play against had them and loved them. Very strange design. But Curiosity is getting to me
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 Not a ton of speed on them, they were heavy, and stained all of my socks. They were clunky and limited my mobility. Only positive I can think of was the quick wheel changes, but most skates are up there now too. I knew about 40-50 people on them, and I think 1 person stayed with them. If you were able to see beyong the hype or marketing you were told, you didn't like them, and even if you bought in, it was only a matter of time until the results took control. DaveTheWave 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 $400 is too much for Vibes. $100 would be too much. They are considered a failure by many members here. The truly great skates are the red and black non Vibe/Spinners Wicked Lights.
Thockey17 1 Report post Posted May 1, 2006 I love(d) the ViBE system. I still use my WL ViBE's, and i had them on in my old avatar.
DaveTheWave 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2006 Yeah SOME people liked them for some reason, including Justin.
Joker518 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2006 My best friend skates on the full vibe model thats a step down from the Wicked. I think its the VSI from that year... either way, I've been trying to talk him into new skates forever. I guess some people really dig the vibe... Either that or he's not crazy about shelling out cash for new gear like me.
opus22 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2006 my buddy has been skating on his wicked lights for over 3 years and loves em. im shocked they lasted this long. eveything i had from mission crapped out inside of one.
shute 4 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 i LOVED the vibe setup... i only used the RPM model so it only had one vibe in the front but it was the best chassic i've ever used!
JSchultz 25 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 I loved my wicked lites dearly...and sought after a pair once mine died for a very long time...but then I bought 9500's. I think they're better than the WL. I'd still buy a pair of WL's for pure nostalgia though.
DaveTheWave 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2006 I have a few pairs of WL's in reserve because I still think they are the best skate ever made. They aren't the lightest, but they still are legendary. I would only make one addition, that being the chassis, but I have done so on one pair.

Unless you skate HARD, then a good high end pair of 99-00 Mission's (VSI, WL, Mod), will last at least 3 years. Mine are going on 6.
wickedlite44 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2006 hey guys, the 400 for the vibes is not my price, thats what the shop near me is still trying to get for them
kukakid 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2006 I have an old pair of WLs collecting dust in my closet right now. The boots are in decent shape but the chassies are pretty shot. Basically the hex nuts that the axles threaded into are completely gone on one skate and loose on the other. They are size 9s also.PM me if you want any more info.
