i think a full body compression suit would be extremely hard to put on...

unless you have a zipper attached, in which case it wouldn't be very comfortable

I have never seen one personally. I could not see it being comfortable or practicle either. What happens when someone knocks the piss out of you and you have to take a leak. It is already a pain to do once dressed but, with the 1 piece you would have to almost completely disrobe to go.

My player/coach wears a one piece. Kills me when he puts it on cos it looks like one of those pyjamas you wore when you were a baby.

I thought of the long underwear in Looney Tunes. You know the red ones with the buttoned butt flap. If only I had the time to search my DVD's to capture a pic.

Most of the stuff on the market is not true compression gear, it's just form fitting.

you guys must play in cold rinks... the only under apparel i wear is a pair of boxers... no shirt under my pads, just a cup, no garter or velcro crap. i wrap clear poly tape around my socks around mid thigh, works great... i would fry in all that stuff.

i think i would turn into a hockeysicle if i wore what you do domi. form fitting or compression, i wanted something that was tight and not something like pajamas under my pads. hate that loose fitting stuff.

I find that I stay cooler in stuff that pulls the sweat off of my body and as an added bonus my pads don't stink nearly as much.

I wear $10 dry-fit shirts from Russell athletics.. or Rbk, or whatever the local Marshalls/Ross has for sale.. I don't know if they have those stores where you guys are from but its basically a retail location that gets all the discontinued/irregular stuff from the big stores. I won't wear a regular tshirt under my gear ever again.

i bought a champion dryfit shirt at target friday but haven't had the chance to wear it. i've only used cotton shirts and long pants under my pads and they get soaked in sweat and i start freezing. looking to shed some of the bulky stuff for something thinner and drier.

I think most of us wear it for the opposite reason -- to stay cooler. (Also, less chafing from the equipment straps.)

I had worn PuckSkin, but I began to realize that since PS is loose fitting, it's more comfortable to wear as a t-shirt. For playing, I found that compression (or form fitting, as Chadd suggests) jerseys with wicking capabilities kept me cooler. My skin is actually nearly cold to the touch after I take off my under jersey.
