eagle goat skin palms

Recommended Posts

i just ordered some custom eagles with goat skin palms.

how do they feel compared to the eagle palms that are usually put on retail gloves?

also, do they get crusty easily or tear easy?

The goatskin palms will definatly feel tackier, I like them better then the retail palm. The lasted me for a year though but I did use them a lot. So I'd say I got some good use out of them. When you first get them they'll feel great and they'll feel great for a while but you'll know it when they start to get a little crusty. For me they didnt get crusty that quick. Also when they were starting to go I could tell the first signs of wear were little holes but they just developed into a lot bigger holes like any other palm. I noticed that at the end of the palms life the goatskin does get pretty weak and you can tear the goatskin with your fingers. Overall I'd say there the best palm I ever used, and I found them to be pretty durable, and very comfortable.

I'm on goat skins now. At least I think I am. I use the X70i. The palms have lasted me for the past 4 years. I play both inline and ice, 3 times or so a week. They didn't get crusty and/or tear on me.

I have a set too with goatskin.. I made the mistake of not airing them out and now the palms are as crusty as saltines.. Not a huge deal though, I usually douse them in water before I play.. that helps a lot.
