Another Custom Skates Question

Recommended Posts

I tried finding the information on this site with out much luck. Does anyone know if you can get custom skates in Jr sizes? I am thinking since Jr skates are usually less expensive than Sr's, it might be around the same price as retail Sr skates as custom Jr skates.

Any clarification would be helpful.

Any reason you want custom? Because i don't think if you got Jr custom skates they'd last a long time because you'd grow correct?

Okay, laugh it up. I am 34 and yes I wear a 5.5 skate. On a different note, it rocks when I get top of the line skate for 280, when the senior cost 430....

The reason I am trying to get custom is because I have a hard time finding a boot that fits me. The XX's fit me almost perfect but now it seems bauer has made the boots wider. So I thought if its only a 100 to 150 more than retail then that is still the same price as Sr skates but I would have a better fit.

yes bauer can do custom skates but the price of them will be 150 ontop of the Sr. skate because theyll be making a senior boot and cutting it to a Jr. size so itll be expensive thats even with graf charge you 150-200 ontop of the senior boot price

I talked to a shop once who told me bauer had a 5.5 Sr that was sturdier than a Jr. But everyone else I talked to thought the guy was on crack. Maybe what he meant was going custom.

a SR. skate is much more sturdy, stiffer, and more durable. the JR. skate will not give you enough support. get a custom SR skate. trust me you'll be much happier you did.

he was either on crack or meaning custom cause no company made sr stiffness skates in jr sizes except ccm made sr size skates in jr stiffness

If you wear a 5.5 Bauer then a Sr KOR 6.0 may fit you perfect.

Graf will make a Jr. boot with a greater stiffness. Had a pair of 705jr's made in a stock 705 stiffness for a girl playing university hockey.
