Mission Ion shaft

Recommended Posts

Not having my way with the search engine. Seems like it doesn't like it when you search for something with just three characters (i-o-n) - it basically returned everything with "questION" and "MissION" in the posts.

Anyway, back to the topic. Is anyone using this shaft? Does anybody like it well enough to recommend it?

Its basically the 2006 M-2 BTW

The only similarities would be that they're standard shafts and come in the same flexes. Other than that, they're very different.

I have one. Not a big fan at all. Bottom line its very light and has a great feel for the puck. However I had trouble getting power behind my shots due to its weight.

Thats just me though.

You mean it's too light?

What blade did you use with it?

Yep. Too light for my liking.

I was using a Sher-Wood SOP wood blade - Drury. I have used that exact blade with other shafts and was happier with the results.

Ponty, what flex did you use--and did it feel like that flex? Like did an 85 feel like a 85, or a 90? And... is it RLXN10 Light or inbetween Red Lite and the Z-Bubble?

At least it has good feel. Maybe I'll get one... I'm in need of a new shaft-I'll probably pair it up with a CNT Z-Carb.
