NEW GRAF G5 ULTRA

I emailed eastwest hockey about ordering a pair of G5 Ultras. I asked them for a price quote with a LSpower holder. I'm still hesitant to get them because I like the look of the Vapor XXXX's and the S15's sound sweet too. The toe on my Synergy 1300c's are cracked though..I'm in a dilema

G5, XXXX and S15 all fit very differently. You may be choosing from that list but not all of them will fit your foot properly. I still have no idea why people decide to buy skates without making sure they actually fit properly. It's not like properly fit skates can make much of a difference in your game.

I've been skating in skates that don't fit for about the last year now...still waiting to find some that feel right. Hopefully the new ultras and stealths will be out soon so I can try those out at the store.

First I was using skates that I realized were a bit too large, which was affecting my performance. So I switched to some older ones that are too small, but I can skate better in them...they just hurt my feet like hell. After using the small ones for the last couple months, my feet have actually formed some extra thick patches of skin in certain areas, so now they don't hurt as much, but they fit even tighter. :rolleyes:

Be careful with that, as you can actually form calcium deposits that basically extend out from the bone, especially near the heel and the small toe. (Heel Spurs/Bunionettes) I've got one that looks like a 6th toe. I should name it.

Wow, if those are the 705 great whites, Im getting them, the 705 fits my foot PERFECTLY, but I didnt they were straight up pure white, that looks amazing...

based on the 707 (ultimate in ankle mobility- the uppers are actually a separate piece from the lower part of the boot. 707s are stitched of something like 114 pieces of leather, don't know if these are constructed the same

also coming are G3 Ultras (based on 703), and G70 Ultra are already out (based on the 709 last (wide, deep fitting) I think most of that info is in this thread or another one somewhere.

in other words Sven, you'd probably want to take a look at the 709/G70 Ultra seeing as you love your 8090s.

I dont need new skates, i just found them on the Graf CH site and they were new and unknown to me.

that's no excuse sven. although you may not NEED new skates, we all know that you WANT new skates. :P

And the sad thing is you are right, hehe. Im indeed thinking about getting new skates. Not for now, but for next season. Mine are quite well used but they will hold up for at least this season. I will start my civilian service (instead of the army, you know?) in July which will end in March or April, at the point of time where the upcoming season ends. Doing the civilian service, you will get paid (of course!) and the best thing is, when you are finished you get a special payment of EUR690.24 (= ~$930). Its like a "demobilization" payment, or something like that.

Now guess who will get custom skates then.
