Mission equipment names/lines

Recommended Posts

That's fair. However are changing and correcting really that different if the intent is to improve on a previous model?

I have respect for all manuf.'s in this discussion however if each year mission's skates are "the best" they've ever produced why not increase the lifespan of their lines.

I like longevity. One of the things I think about when looking at equipment is if I end up really liking it how much longer will it or something similar be available until it's discontinued?

The Mission tapered shaft had no shelf/sex appeal on display. It was an ugly dark green that just got lost on the rack. The Mission/ Itech marriage should make for stronger marketing, branding, and continuity.

Pete, we're about to come to blows! The Flyweight was a sexy sexy stick!

As for the rest of your comment - I dunno...

Just found out that Mission's marketing director just left the company. Pulled right out of the business.

I liked the simple look of the m2/m1..

I am not too sure about the new sticks (other than the grey hex). I think some of the graphics on sticks are overdone a bit, like with Warrior.

I thought the stick looked like reptile skin.

As far as their management team, it sounds like Trouble City is the next stop on the Jim Rome Jungle Tour for M/I!!

Every company does this though, just because it's not still in the S or L line shouldn't make it different. Bauer, CCM, Mission, Easton all seem to have the latest and greatest each season. I'm not really worried if it says the same name on it or not, the line is essentially changing anyways. Graf is the only company I can see who doesn't do this and they are starting to produce new lines more frequently as well.
