Converting One90's

Recommended Posts

no im not, i have been injure for quite some time, i had surgery then tried coming back, went to all nationals and shit but i reinjured my previous injury so i have not been skating much at all. I even sat out a couple games at nationals. I am scheduled to recieve their new line of everything november/december but if im not skating im not sure i will recieve it. But you can bet ur ass the second i get back on my skates i will recieve my equipment shortly after! I just spoke to my people and they said you can definitely do it.

For those questioning converting ice skates to roller all you need ot know it that placing more holes in the bottom of the boot will always weaken the skate. I have been wearing nikebauer ice skates for the past 4 years and havent had one problem.

sniper 21 ,tony at plaza sports uses a two part epoxy to fill holes in the bottom of the skates this must help alittle ,and beats haveing to many holes in the bottom of your skates.a good epoxy is very strong, i thought that was a great idea.

Snipa21

Mr. Anderson

i do have people i contact for different things but u are partialy correct in most of the dealing is done through mainly one person. When it comes to skates i have always received the ice skate (including blade) and then i have it remounted.

How have you been otherwise? Whats the next tournament i will see you at?

and tony, that eproxy sounds like a good idea and im sure its better than nothing but i have never had a problem and my philosophy is - if it ain't broke don't fix it

Some one just told me that you cant convert the one90's is this true?

Something about the sole being too thin.

if you could convert them that would be sooo sick

If you see me at a tourney its because I'm finding my way on a stacked 35+ team to FINALLY win a damn NARCh medal!!

You can convert them but damn, that's an awful lot of money to pay for a skate that will break down within a year if you're over 170lbs and use them normally. I predict that skate will be a big disappointment in regards to the cost vs. usefull lifespan. Nike/Bauer are going in the wrong direction - you're paying for them to market thier products instead of them spending more on research to make a better product. In the race to achieve lightweight equipment, they have simply put less and less material and construction into the skate. They are not using any revolutionary materials.....it's smoke & mirrors.

Best ice skate to convert to inline: graf Goaler 07-50. take the cowling off, put on the Tuuk Roller Chasis and you have the closest feeling inline skate that skates like an ice hockey skate.

Good luck-

That's funny - no other NBH skate has has as much R&D put into it than the ONE90. Not revolutionary? They made the most anatomically correct skate so far. What's also funny is the "smoke and mirrors" comment - one look at your website and I can see you bought into the biggest "smoke and mirrors" in this industry.

I know personally nikebauer puts in a rediculous amount of money into research and development and if i may say so myself they make some of the best equipment on the market. Who makes a better boot, a better glove, better stick or helmet. Remember its about performance.

And anderson, you may be in luck because timmys aid he will be back playing narch 35+ in 2 years. If your lucky and talk to the right people you just may be a sniper winning a narch gold medal. Trust me you wont be the first person to join our organization and win thier first gold with us.

Timmy would only keep me around to do the paperwork...my "wooo" after goals isn't strong enough to merit consideration and well I won't shave my head for the cameras..

I mounted Sprungs on a pair of Supreme 70s the other day and they were a snap. The picture is somewhere in the "new frames" thread.

These are GREAT boots and if they hold up anywhere like the XVs-XXXs I'll be enjoying them for a long time.

I'm thinking of converting a pair of One70's and putting on the Hummr Cateye chassis. I was curious if anyone has had any experience with a set up like this either on the 70s or maybe even the 90s? If so, how much of the sole of the boot do you have to dremmel out?

The only reason why I am considering doing this is I am putting them in very trusting hands and feel comfortable with the person doing the work. Just want to know if there any known issues before I get it done.
