Warrior specs on blade lie are not accurate.

Chadd, how would one measure the lie of a stick? Does the number actually mean something like the degree of angle, or is it just a refrence number?

i found it very similar to an easton iginla, if not identical!

i didn't think so, it's not as annoyingly short.

i like it quite a bit. i was thinking of trying it, but i'm 90% sure i'm going wtih the smyth as my next stick instead, since you can't seem to find a replacement blade for smyth i guess i have to get a OPS.

Can't find Smyth blades online or anywhere? My brother just got a couple Dolomite blades and I've had no problem finding them in store here. I just have a problem shelling $65 for a blade.

The Warrior Robitaille is a Bauer P71. My Friend had both and they were exactly the same, nothing different.

the only smyth blades i found were for a tapered shaft. the best store in my area has a ton of warrior sticks (only 100 flex though) & no warrior replacement blades.

I hope Chadd doesn't mind if I answer for him ...

5 lie = 45 degrees

one full step in the lie number equals 2 degrees.

one-half step in the lie number equals 1 degree.

So, 6 lie would be 47 degrees and 4.5 lie would be 44.5 degrees.

The angle is measured between the bottom of the blade and the shaft.

If the blade is rockered (as practically all are) then you have to position the blade so that the center of the rocker/blade is touching the reference surface.

All that said, I don't think any manufacturer, except maybe Black Beauty, is all that precise about it. For instance, a Sherwood Coffey pattern which is supposed to be a 5.5 lie lines up with makers patterns that are listed at 5 or 4.5.

You really have to have the pattern in your hands and compare it to a pattern with a lie you know works for you - or be willing to change the length of your stick to compensate.
