Meathead 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 Surely you could not be serious about the Giants. Although Eli will improve, Barber and the rest of the team overachieved last year.

Meathead 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 The Patriots at 14-2? Packers at 7-9 is also very optimistic. Yeah I really think the Pats will do good this year. Tom Brady has been working harder than ever this offseason.

Meathead 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 Yeah but he has...hmmm...no one at wide receiver. I don't think that is a fair assumption. He has one of the best TE combos in the NFL with Watson and Graham. K. Faulk and Patrick Pass are two of the better recievers out of the backfield (not sure about Maroney?). Brown is as reliable as they come. And if Branch doesn't play I can see Chad Jackson having a huge rookie season (he certainly has the skills)

willc7786 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 Technically he never has. very true, though Branch was at least reliableon another topic, I'm a huge Vick fan, but those are some lofty expectations. I never understood why Price was never remotely as good as he should have been. Loved their defense last season, and I think them against the panthers will be the best game of week 1 depending on if Steve Smith plays.I think Colts/Giants will be far and away most hyped, but best game I'll give to Falcons/Panthers. McCabe24 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 Cincinnati at KC and Dallas at Jacksonville should be great games, Atlanta vs Carolina if Palmer doesn't play. There is no competition and it is in primetime, of course the Colts/Giants game will be hyped heavily, it is two top ten teams with a definate storyline for a reason. EBondo 233 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 I don't get the Eagles winning the division. I think the Giants will, them or the Cowboys. Even ESPN has the Eagles winning the division, and even going to the Super Bowl again, but I still don't think they will. My prediction for the super bowl? Bengals or Colts vs. Giants. Carson Palmer will have a great year.

jasper 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 honestly i dont know how u could put the panther at 10-6 they're gonna be amazing this coming year, they're the deepest team in the nfl. hopefully they can stay healthy, and also, i think the bengals do have a chance along with denver carolina and the patriots.
mack 44 Report post Posted September 7, 2006 Deep? At RB they have Foster (has he ever played a full year?) and Williams, a rookie with some of the worst hands I've ever seen. My guess is Goings will be the most-used back they have. Other than Smith, who's a solid WR for them? Meshawn or Colbert?

For the last 3 years I keep hearing about how great the Panthers are...I'm waiting.
jasper 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2006 what do u mean waiting, they went to superbowl one year, did okay the next, then went to the nfc championship, and ur waiting, i kno they not living up to expectations but they've done pretty damn good still. and the only reason they didnt do as good as expected was because they were injured. My guess is Goings will be the most-used back they have. Other than Smith, who's a solid WR for them? Meshawn or Colbert? They do have two smallish RBs and both of them with injury history, but they'd be dumb to use Goings over either of them (if healthy). And Smith, Keyshawn, Colbert, and Drew Carter are a pretty good receiving group.
mack 44 Report post Posted September 8, 2006 Keyshawn's good for the 7-yard slant and that's about it, but that may be all they need since Colbert and Smith are small. As for their RBs I can't see either of the supposed two starters lasting so they may a RB by committee and those never work.
AtlantaThrashers01 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2006 Colts IMO are the best team, dallas will do good if TO doesnt complain and all of that they could make it all the way. Giants will be a force to be reconed with. Im rooting for the bengals, johnson is too good. I also have a feeling that arizona will do extremly well this season for some reason probably because of leinhart and james.Colts vs Bengals in finals thats my prediction, but too hard to tell who will win

Look at the steelers...besides a longball here and there, they just used short quick passes. Did them pretty well last season.
