Langenbrunner15 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Just wondering who here scuba dives, or as scuba dived in any waters? Also, if any of you are "real" divers, and by that I mean, wreck dive, please inform!
BK 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 I'm scuba certified. I have logged about 60 dives post cert. I have done a few wreck dives in the philippines and some WW2 ships. I stay like to stay shallow, so most of my dives are reef or freshwater.Edit: Wrong forum btw.. if somebody sees this, can they move it to the misc forum? Thanks. yvan12 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2006 Used to dive many moons ago. Was NAUI certified, but I haven't dove in years. Tobermory, Ontario was a favorite dive place and we did a little hobby salvage work on Lake Simcoe in the spring where we would look for Snowmobiles and vehicles that went through the ice. How did those clean up? That was the best part of fresh water in my opinion... its not as rough on the salvages.
gman 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2006 and have had the bends at least 4 times That is one of the attractions of apnea. No compressed air in tanks, no breathing at depth= virtually no chance of getting bent or narc'd. Some of the big boys who go freakishly deep do have some risk of the bends. Of course there is always the chance of shallow water blackout...

We would just locate them for the locals, and they would have them brought up. We would charge $50.00 each for the 'finder's fee'. They must have been ok because we would see them the next winter. Once we found the same sled at the bottom of the lake 2 years in a row.
