MALKIN HURT IN PRESEASON!

Recommended Posts

Anyone who thinks that is Leclair's fault is an idiot.

here we go with the name calling, everyone is in tittled to his opinion and you passing judgement on others opinion makes you an idiot and an ass...

By the way i think most guys are kidding wen they put blame on Leclair, so what if dude fell and killed ther kid in the process, you're just taking the hole thing to seriously...

An opinion that isn't based on facts is worthless.

It was neither's fault, come on...

That fall was pretty bad though, good thing he wasn't hurt worse than an ordinary "upper body injury". Looks like he made a nice pass right before too.

Ouch, poor Pens. It's a lot better for him (and for us as viewers/fans) that the actual injury was more mild than it looked by watching the replay. Lucky he didn't break his neck or his back.

IMO it's nobody's fault. Leclair just fell down and Malkin had no time to react.

The thing is that the way leclair reacted going into the boards, putting his hands up to stop himself is what made malkin flip over. The other problem was that malkin came off his skates slightly before coming into Leclair. So many factors that screwed it up, you can't blame Leclair.

If that was at the right end (from the bench perspective) of the ice, it's the same spot where Leclair got drilled into the boards a few years ago. I think that was a major shoulder injury.

Maybe putting the blame on LeClair isn't right but i still think 98% of NHL players would not have fell like that, trying to shoot. LeClair never really had a good balance IMO. But i'm and idiot.

It almost looked like Malkin was trying to jump over Leclair to avoid the contact and he couldn't. Could have been a lot worse; if he didn't braise himself on his arm (which is what I think caused the injury), he could have landed on his neck.

a dislocated is normally a 4-6 week recovery, but for something that's not load bearing(a knee for example) you can easily come back in 1-2 weeks.

One of my teammates had similar situation with Malkin's, but he wasn't able to back after almost two months!! (A guy pushed him behind and my teammate wasn't aware of the checking. He was also trapped by other guy.)

well there's always exceptions. Speed of recovery normally has to due with muscle mass in that area and severity of injury. A dislocation can lead to streched(pulled) and torn tendants and muscles which can lead to extended time periods. I've dislocated my shoulder and besides some pain it was fine in a week.

The one thing about injuries is the "normal" recovery rate is out the window, just think of all the athletes that heard their career was over and managed to come back.

Word on TV is that he will be getting re-evaluated once the swelling goes down, (another MRI), and determine the extent of the injury. If he needs surgery, could be 3-6 months they said.
