Vector SE

Today we got some Vector SEs in at TSA. I've never seen them before. They're priced at $100 so they're probably a price point stick(also kinda heavy). It's got a weird type of grip that's kinda "bubble-y."

Just figured I'd put it out there.

all are recchi

we also got synergy 300s in(i can't remember what curves). Before we only had woodies, octanes(paired with blades) and the easton one OPS. Kinda funny that with one truck the Easton One OPS went from our highest in-stock stick to our 3rd. Too bad we don't sell any really good stuff :(

*edit - The synergys are Forsberg curves.

What part of the country are you in? All of the TSA's in the DC area have squat. Well, at least the ones right around my house.

Derek,

I had maintained that there were no decent LHS's in the DC area that were affordable to the non high end player.

Then I went up to For Sports (in Laurel), which is a fair trek for me as I live in NOVA.

They have a huge selection of stuff from low end right up to high end. The guy who owns it, Mike something is friendly and knows his stuff. He works with NBH product/consumer panel, or something, can't remember what it was.

But they have decent prices, and the one thing that scored big points with me was this. I went in, said, I am just getting out of the beginner level hockey, need skates, not too pricey, but good. He took 30 minutes to fit me in a pair of low/mid level skates, molded them, sharpened them and gave me spare laces.

Best service, non pushy sales. I tell as many people as humanly possible from this area to give them the business.

To me they are the defination of customer service, knowledge and price.

I know for a fact that they had OPS there for under $100, but I don't know which ones, because I wasn't looking.

They also have a full range of warrior stuff, it looks real nice in person

You should check them out, its worth the trip

I'm in Tampa, Florida. As far as I know we have the best stock of hockey equipment of any TSA in our area. If I was you I'd go and check out your local TSA within a few weeks because we literally just got this stuff in this morning and it was the first thing I put out on the floor.

If you look online you'll see that TSA doesn't carry anything over mid-level equipment and most stores don't stock even that. I think our best ice skates are 252 tacks or something like that. We just got the 4k roller hockey skates though

There are about 3 TSA's close to where I live, and they carry absolute minimal hockey gear, particularly sticks.

The have about 3 types of woodies, and the only other kind is the octane shaft with a blade in it.

They suck immensely.

I am not saying that TSA in general sucks, but this is not a huge hockey area, so they stock to what sells, namely redskins/football in general, college basketball (terps/mason/georgetown) and basketball gear, golf, hunting/fishing and regular training gear.

Same with TSAs up here. They used to stock all the high-end gear (first place to stock the ULs when they came out) but now it's become one row of low-end protection and one row of some woodies and Typhoon shafts. I remember a couple years ago they blew out the grey Z-Bubbles at about $25 per and that was the end of their high-end stuff.

yeah they were awesome when they first started. 2 rows top and bottom full of hockey sticks and back when aluminum shafts were all the rage. Ton of hockey gloves and what not. Now you're lucky if you can get a decent roll of tape. I used to work there as well and I left right before they started going downhill.

I think we have a few types of woodies(one40, easton ultra abs, sherwood 5030, kohos of some sort and vectors), the octane, the synergy 300, the vector SE and the easton one. The past two trucks have doubled our hockey protective stock and added the two best sticks we sell in-store. But who goes to sports authority to buy high end hockey equipment anymore? haha.

Honestly, I was surprised when I opened the box to see the Vector and the synergy since we mostly carry woodies.

When the new TSA around here opened they had Synthesis with blades, Sicores, Synergy grips, Synergies, Ulta Lite/Z Bubble Shafts, Z Carbon Focus Flex/Synthesis Blades, but when those sold that was it and plus they were all redicuosly(SP?) overpriced.

Allsmoke,

I have heard of them before, and I plan on making the trip up there real soon. Do they carry any inline skates? You may not have checked? Thanks a ton for the info though, I really appreciate it.

Sounds like a SMU version of the V6.0. That has the "bubbles".

They do carry inline skates, as they have an inline league as well as ice at the rink (so I am told)

301-604-8200 is the number, mike is the owner.

I am telling you now, service and price, I will buy all my new hockey gear from them for as long as I live or work in the area. Completely suprised me, as I was expected to be put in skates and out the door as I wasn't spending a lot of money.

I can't say enough good things about them
