CCM 692 Tacks pants info

Recommended Posts

They're very good all around pants. A little stiff at first but they work in nicely. In general CCM pants have been very dependable and durable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair....but I won't be pant shopping for a long time.

For me...the seemed a bit short, but if it works for you great. I'd say they are a bit bulky, but can't comment on how they break in. But them seem to be a nice pair of pants, but I wound up buying Itechs.

I am wearing Itech 8000 at the minute, and after getting used to the snugger fit (coming from old bauer 1000's), I think they are fantastic pants. Great protection in the tailbone (which was an issue for me, as I had a period where I couldn't sit for about two weeks), great all round protection, laces and velcro fasteners.

And they have zippers, which don't get in the way (I heard complaints about others) as they have a tiny velcro closure to cover the actual zipper part.

I would recommend Itech too, probably similar prices

bought the CCM 692's size large this afternoon and just tried em on with my shin pads. the fit around the waste is perfect...but the fit is even tighter than my Bauer 6000 medium size around the legs.

the length of the legs is fine, but it's too tight. when I walk the pant's legs come up my and under my shin pads. so I imagine when I'll be skating, I'll be always pulling down the legs.

basicly, what I'm looking for is pants that don't have tight diameter around the legs. I'm only 5'7...but I have big legs so I need pants that have a loose leg fit.

damn, so it's back the store tomorrow.

I had to get them 1 size big to get the length(i have long legs)... actually, I think I got them two sizes bigger than I'd like. I can't really comment on the 692s because I have the 692LE(hockeymonkey SMU). But as far as the 692LE they are very protective and pretty mobile, they are stiff but not too stiff to play in. The butt protection is really nice, my only complaint would be that I wish the length was adjustable or they were longer so I dont have to wear suspenders(could have gotten smaller size) and that I wish the zippers went higher or the legs were wider because it's difficult to fit them on over my skates(size 11.5 CCMs).

You could always leave the zippers on them open when you play...whether or not you can get away with it or not, idk.
