No idea realyl how to explain this. It was posted super ling ago. Iam sure it was WHL or something like that. The guy was comming down on a 1 on 1 (i think). He was right handed and his stick was extended to the right. He passed the puck to the outside of his right skate then kicked it right back to his stick. Totaly fooled the d-man.

It's not right. Keep the numbers under 40. 50, tops.

As for the "Gretzky tuck" - I really don't see much wrong with it. Of course, I am bias as, as a smaller guy, I've been forced to make use of said tuck since I was four years old.

thanks in advance

Is that you? Cause that team looks good. Seemed really fast pace. I would guess midget aaa.

And to warrior -- the Gretzky tuck? Im sure hes not gona mind that other people are tucking in their jerseys. Seems a bit silly that one man does it and you think no one else can tuck in their jersey when its big for them?

I remember the goal your talking about, this one right?

Ahhh...Joe Balej. Too bad he never lived up to his potential. He could have been great. He had a horrible accident a last January. Impaled himself on his stick when he fell awkwardly in the corner...spent quite a while in IC with a very severe kidney injury.

and why?

Hockey is a team sport. Always has been, always will be. When you get one, two, maybe three guys out there who are wearing numbers like 68, 87, 88, 91, 96, 99, it becomes more of a "Look at me! Look at me!" kinda thing - if not just a total rip-off of the more famous (re: "Better") guys who wear those numbers.

As a goal-scorer, I say 'if you want to be flashy, be flashy with your game, not your uniform.'

I see what you mean, but some people do want to wear numbers like their idols though. Or what about a favorite number? Mine is 14, so i want to wear 14. What if someone fav number is 96? Are you going to dislike that they wear number 96 because its more of a flashy number?

I agree, would have been nice to see him pull that move in a 'Nucks jersey ;) and about that impaling yourself with your stick, its very serious, one of my friends almost died when it happened to him in road hockey, the doctor said had it hit him a little lower he would have been gone within the hour

When it's a number like that, wearing your idol's number is acceptable until you're 9. After that, no dice.

As for the favorite number thing: Sacrifices have to be made. If your favorite number is one that is not favorably looked-upon by much of hockey culture, then you're going to have to wear something different.

I wore 46 for years growing-up. It wasn't until a couple years ago that I decided to move to another, more conventional number, just because I didn't want scouts or upper-level coaches to percieve me as being at all egotistical or "all about me." I realize it sounds rediculous, but it was a concern of mine.

my fav number is #81, big deal its just a number and it's just your way of saying your different than others, it doesn't have to necissarily mean you think your better than others.. besides, numbers between 8-25 are way too popular I think
