...but...

Domi's not bad on TSN....he needs some pollish...fumbles his words a bit, but you know what....he's not that bad so far.

thoughts?

You know, I was thinking the same thing when I was watching him on tsn. He's already my favorite among the group. You can see the guy knows the game.

yea he do. on ice, he is a dirty player but off-ice he can be a good person..

Off the ice, I'm pretty sure he's a prick...but on camera he seems to be fine, and yes...insightful...knows what he's talking about...and he's kinda funny too.

I think he'll shake out just fine once the nerves settle down. He could do with some voice work tho', that mumbling is him running out of air.

TSN needs to kill some of that distracting flash on the set tho'... especially that noisy spinning logo that drowns out the panel. What are they imagining they are cutting to anyway?

You're a better observer than me. I did not even notice he was nervous.

I saw him last night. His mouth is faster than his brain sometimes (good); he said that Winnipeg was the best place he played, then quickly amended it to "one of the best places" that he played in. And then he got into a good argument with Dreger about where the Pens should relocate.

Well I already like him better then Dreger but then again its Dreger who I really dislike. Bobby Mac is still the class of TSN

The one time I watcfhed them for more than 5 minutes it looked lie Domi was taking over the conversation and the other guys were annoyed, but he has the physical presence to preclude anyone from putting him in his place. But I like him, just maybe talk a bit less.

if that's the case I can see him settling down in after a few broadcasts. I haven't seen any Domi on TSN (center ice package!) but I'm betting he just doesn't want to end up lost without a lot to say.

He has been sub-par in my opinion. The last thing TSN (Toronto Sports Net) needs is another Leafs homer. I did think he seemed nervous when I saw him on opening night. I thought he stepped out of line a couple of times and made comments about certain players that were inappropriate for a commentator. I'm sure there are about 100 ex-players that could do the job much better, but none of them are recently retired Leafs. They should have hired Dougy Gilmour. I wouldn't mind seeing him behind the desk. I'm sure he'd do a good job of it. I've always liked Gilmour.

I don't agree with you at all. Domi is doing a good job. I also find he has a lot of charisma and I don't think a lot of ex-players would have that presence on TV.

Lots of time in the box = lots of time to learn about the game. Maybe Domi can replace John Jr as GM of the Leafs.
