I have wondered why these visors are so sought after. What makes them so much better than another visor that someone is willing to pay double the price of a new visor for one of these that are used? Is it just that it is easier to see out of that one area?

They're sought after because they have to be specially customized by the manufacturer and there aren't a whole lot of them. It's also not something that's easy to do well yourself (see stevo_323's post above).
