Pro stock mission blades

Doing the math I'm starting to see how these aren't really as cheap as they appeared. I mean hell, Peranis can get you cheap Dolos for under $100 and that's right where these fall in assuming you get a shaft/blade.

A sub-$100 Dolo is impossible to find at any of my LHS. Heck, a $200 Dolo would be a good deal here.

Well neither for me either, I mean AK27s go for $150 here so I'm in on these regardless, but I'm just saying Peranis has gotten loads of these for cheaper so if you can find your pattern there go for that. I'm holding out a little hope for them adding Lundmarks to the blade list since all of these blades are just taken from what would go into OPS.

Well they're a pretty good deal on the shafts but HM knows if you get the shaft you're probably gonna want the blade which aren't necessarily a bargain. BTW Has there been anyone who has gotten the polar fibre shaft in concave and not boxy?

To most, but they're a deal to me as Warrior (and other comp blades) go for about $60-$70.

As for the PF Dolo, my brother's is convex.

My PF is a rectangle, beyond boxy. Slimmer in shaft shape than normal, or at least it feels like it. I normally like rounder shafts but I'm liking this.

I feel like I sold my soul when I bought warrior. :(

For anyone who is thinking of using the mission pro stocks in an Ultra Lite shaft, save yourself some time and add a piece of tape to the tenon. The blades have wiggled on me three times, and three times this remedy has worked. Real pain between the cheeks.

i was lookin at the standard wood pro stock mission blades, and was wondering which curve resembled an Yzerman/Coffey/Thornton curve. any help is greatly appreciated, and at 6 bucks a blade i'll buy hundreds... if they have the right curve.

Depends on the blade. Some of the tenons fit differently than others. I have NO IDEA why Mission did that but some of my blades fit well with tape and some barely fit without tape.

The van ryn barely fit in the pro stock dolo btw. If I like it I'm going to have to cut the tenon down, it's barely too long.

Props to anyone with the balls to try and gamble on the new batch because Hockey Monkey's illiteracy is making me wary of buying anymore now. I'm going to put in an order of some blades I know of, but I'm waiting on actual verification of my replacement shafts being sent out before I do. I mean, Shantz? Jeff Shantz? He hasn't been in the NHL in ages.

That and I'm not sure who would be interested in buying a $40 Warrior Pro Stock blade (sans warranty) without any kind of description of the blade pattern. Personally, I figured you can't go wrong with the $6 tapered wood blades and I figured since they already sold the ones I originally wanted I'd grab a Warrior Spezza out of curiosity.

Also, any one have the tapered wood Armstrong? Pics would be great, I think I read earlier that it's similar to a Forsberg.

Someone's put up the Armstrong. Also I'm not sure if people were looking for Sakic retails (RH of course), but if they were then I'd go for the "Langfelf" because I'm sure they're Langfelts.

Edit: Crap, I thought someone put up an Armstrong but no such luck.

I'm pretty sure I saw Jeff Shantz playing for Mannheim in the Spengler Cup today.

I'm sorry, I couldn't tell whether you were serious or not, but if you were who is Langfelts?

With the Warriors, I have a pretty good idea what's coming. With some of the Mission blades were a complete roll of dice. Worse comes to worse you can sell them. Most people are glad to get a blade for the price HM charges plus S&H costs. You dont really lose any money and if you do it's minimal.

And to add sometimes you hit just the right blade when you gamble. For me it was the Keane best curve for me I have had since CCM made the Andreychuk

does anyone know what curve would be close to a bauer p10 gagne or an easton shanahan in righty?

As I stated a few pages back, the Mission tapered pro 02-053 is a Shanahan/p10 clone. I bought several in addition to a Afanasenkov. I don't care for the 5.5 lie Afanasenkov. I'll post pics soon.

are there any others because there aren't any of the 02-053 pattern left in righty blades.

So they did show up today like I thought they might, these are what I got:

I don't have time for pics now but will put some up when I have time.

01-002

01-004

02-053

-> all shanahan variants, lies are 6 or a little over...01-004 is really heavy

Ryder: like a Messier, maybe a hair less open

Hinote: a little longer than the Ryder, a little more curve/loft

Wickenheiser: ~5 lie...maybe a little Recchi-ish? I will have to dig out some I have for comparison

Rafalski (standard wood) **mislabeled Halpern Tapered**: I actually like this one the best, only its about a 5 lie, too low for me. Shanny on a shorter blade.

could you post pics of the 01-002, 01-004, and 02-053 blades and how heavy is the 01-004 compared to a wooden blade?
