Malkin's Curve

Been watching Malkin play lately and wondering what his curve is. More so interested in the lie. Is it him or his lie the reason his blade is flat with the ice? Could someone stick some specs up please.

I watched his first game against Jersey.... the glimpse I got, it looked like it had a lot of curve up toward the toe.. but like I said, I only caught a few quick glimpses of it.

Kind of off topic.. but how much longer does Crosby have on his Sherwood endorsement.. Rbk can't be happy about him carrying around a Sherwood twig.. when the first thing kids notice on tv is what stick someone is using..

even after the contract expires, I don't think Crosby will switch over to composite.

And about malkin's curve.. you can get a nice look at it when he's on the bench and it looks like an open big mid curve... it's gotta be more than 1/2" for sure

Crosby uses a wood blade, regardless of what it looks like. I believe I read they are making 950 blades to look like whatever the top of the line composite you mentioned was.

I LOVE that Sherwood Momentum XD shaft, btw... it's a great shaft and they run pretty cheap

It's a toe-curve with a round toe. It's a Kovalchuk lefty.

It'd just make more sense to at least know what a toe was before stating it's what another player uses.

Every DB in the entire world classifies Kovalchuk's pro pattern as a toe curve. I admit there's truer toe curves out there, but Kovy's is as much of a toe curve as you'll probably find save for that Norwegian schmo and a few others.

I'll never get where or why they classify it as that because the pattern below is what I've had/seen on his sticks from Nike/Bauer blade days all the way thru to his Inno/Vapor XX days. Unless he's got something different on the Warriors, which may be the case because I haven't seen one, it hasn't changed since this:

I hate to beat a dead horse but I haven't seen a big change in his pattern except for the times he used Modano retail patterns on his Synergy, but I'm sure those were just used to placate the Thrashers' front office because of his illegal curve penalties.

i have that shaft and custom 950 tapered woodies but i have to say its been a disapointing experience using that shaft
