Nike Quest Hockey Helmet DEAL!

Recommended Posts

I did a search on the old Nike helmet to get info about it as I am kicking around the idea of getting a new bucket and I considered buying one of these. The helmet will fit me perfectly. Glad someone started a thread about it. Since there is nothing in the review section about it, what are the pros and cons, likes and dislikes about the helmet? How is the venting as I sweat heavy during games and have problems with my visor fogging up. Thanks.

looking at the guys that wear it at stick time, looks like lots of visors don't fit the helmet properly but that could just be them and that might not even effect you

Not really a good deal...the rink shops here been blowing them out for $10 with a cage. I've been tempted to buy one just for a cage to use during the warmer months. Think the rink was blowing out the old Bauer models for like $20-25, dunno which #s though. If anyone really wanted one, I could check the rink shops here for you, or you can give them a call, they're the shops in The Chiller rinks in Columbus.

On the helmet though since someone asked...I would say it's an idea that never took off, cause I thought the pump, yes like the Rbk skates, was cool. Pump it up to make your head fit in the odd spaces a little better. But yes, looks like visors might not install very well, as I noticed that the J-clips they got in there are kinda odd.

I got one from sports authority with a cage for $40 like a year and a half ago. I didn't realize it until I got my itech, but it's kind of heavy, and very "full fitting". It comes down far in the back of the head. It's also a pretty "big" helmet and looks goofy. Many commented on how rediculous it looked, especially when I took the cage off.

I've never tried a visor on it, but it doesn't seem that one would fit without a hackjob.
