European players wheel question

Recommended Posts

Since Europe has all these different floors (there are competitive games on asphalt, concrete, wood, sportcourt) I am wondering what wheels (brand, type, durometer) you guys use on what surface. Also, do you change wheels for different surfaces or are you using an all surface wheel. How long do these wheels last?

For outdoor competitive I use Hyper 250 wheels. These wheels suck, they wear really easily. They are the hardest durometer you can get. These wheels stay on my shadows.

For wood I use Labeda Millenium grippers X-Soft. They came standard on my rollerdaddys. These are way too soft for this surface. The back wheels are covered in cracks and are chunked every where. The front wheels are cracking. I am going to try a harder wheel to see if they last. This is the floor i use 99% of the time and have the roller daddy's for this.

For polished cement I use a combination of Mr. Sticky and Labeda grippers. The only reason I use those is that the grippers came on my shadows. And the Mr.Stickies where quick and cheap on short notice. Though they proved to be awesome. I switch the wheels over on the roller daddy's for this.

Outdoor: Hyper 250 (orange-84a)

Indoor(wood): Hyper Formula G (orange-76a)

Indoor(concrete): Hyper Formula G (orange-76a)

Indoor(sportscourt/icecourt): Rink Rat Mb816 (green-76a)

Formula G is a very underrated wheel for indoor play, great on wood & concrete + it won't chunk like the Rink Rat's.

Weight 160lbs

BTW: Heard Holland did well at the IISHF championship B)

Will you be at the European Cup (men's clubteams) in Switzerland next year?

Holland did pretty okay, but unfortunately missed the finals. I tried to follow the games through the live ticker and the webcam, but that didn't really work. Were you there? The Dutch coach played one line of players for the most of the time. No wonder we got the high scorer.

I will defintely try to be in Switzerland with the EC. You're going to play?

Thanks everybody for the info by the way...
